Civil War by Guns n' Roses

To celebrate the day of the peace I Have prepared this wonderful song. Watch the video and anwer the following questions:

1.Write 3 sentences of the lyrics with a peaceful message

2. The video makes reference to Kennedy and Vietnam. Can you explain these two concepts?

3. Write different activities prepared at school to celebrate this day.

You can write your answers until Friday 1st at 11:59 pm.

    1. "I don't need your civil war", "Look at the world we're killing" and "It feeds the rich while it buries the poor"

    2. Kennedy was an american president who was murdered the 22th November 1963. The Vietnam war was an armed conflict that passed during the second half of the XX century. The USA took a very important part in this war.

    3. During the peace day, the last years we did a music concert with peaceful songs. Some ideas for this years could be:
    - We could do a little debate about peace.
    - We could read some stories that remind us of peace.

    I understand that:

    Kennedy and people from Vietnan died fighting for their rights.

    Activities:

    The main activities are held in the hall, we watch videos and someone explains what peace means.

    2 John Fitzgerald Kennedy was a fervent believer in containing communism. Kennedy received conflicting advice with regards to Vietnam, but he supported them. There was this good?

    3. We can do a lot of things. We can write some poems, or give to the teachers some songs to understand better that is peace. We can do a "gymkana", where everybody can participate. We can do a lot of relax exercises and try to understand some of our problems. We can organise a reunion with our problems to eliminate them. We can be one, but not only this day. We can be one everyday, we can be together.

    2-John Fitzgerald Kennedy was a fervent believer in containing communism. In his first speech on becoming president, Kennedy made it clear that he would continue the policy of the former President, Dwight Eisenhower, and support the government of Diem in South Vietnam. Kennedy also made it plain that he supported the ‘Domino Theory’ and he was convinced that if South Vietnam fell to communism, then other states in the region would as a consequence. This Kennedy was not prepared to contemplate.

    John Fitzgerald Kennedy was a fervent believer in containing communism. In his first speech on becoming president, Kennedy made it clear that he would continue the policy of the former President, Dwight Eisenhower, and support the government of Diem in South Vietnam.

    At school we could go to the auditorium to celebrate the event with a commemorative poem or phrase.

    Too have reference as the singer will not go to Vietman to die by Vietman.

  17. 1. The three sentences that I choose are: ''Who said ''peace could last forever'', ''That you can't trust freedom when it isn't in your hands'' ''I don't need your Civil War''
    2. In the song, refers to when Kennedy was running in USA, one of the events that occurred were the first events of the Vietnam War.
    3. The activities that we can do are: We can draw the figure of a giant pigeon where all we get dressed in a white shirt on the patio or we can dancing together a song that relates to this day, among other things.

    3. I think we always do the same activities, a teacher or a students read a text (in my opinion they are so boring. We could do a lot of differents activities, for example, such as two years ago, do a dance all the school or something like that.

    2. The relationship of these two concepts is that during the Vietnam War Kennedy was one of the few people who helped the government in the fight.

    2. The reference to Kennedy and Vietnam are because Kennedy sended many soldiers to the Vietnam War and he received advices of conlicts by Vietnam.
    3.We have done different activities at school to celebrate the day of the peace ,such as the discuss about the diferent wars in the actuality or the posters about the peace in the corridors,etc.I propose to take a balloon and tie our message of peace and let it fly.

    2. The song, talk about the died of Kenedy and too talk about Vietnam, because appear one phrase and tell "The peace could last forever", whit this the song wants express that the peace isn´t one thing, but worlwide, the peace isn´t in your hand.
    3. In this day, in the school, we go to the assembly hall and our peers made a coreography with banner and in this there are words about peace.

    -Perfect
    1.The video tells the history from a girl who had problems when she was young, at the end of the video she decided to do the things she want without caring what people think about.
    2.The chorus means that you haven't got to worry about what people think because you are perfect.
    3.The anorexia, violent,drugs and also the suicide.
    4.In the begining of the video the girl is very influided but he learn not to care of what people think and to be what she like to be.
    5.The beginning appears the girl and in the end appears her daughter, it's like she was telling her her history.
